Vilnius in December
Vilnius in December is a magical winter wonderland, famous for its stunning Christmas markets in Cathedral and Town Hall Squares, featuring festive lights, hot drinks, crafts, and ice skating, all under a truly spectacular main Christmas tree. Expect cold, snowy, or possibly rainy weather (around -5°C to 0°C), with short daylight hours, making the city’s elaborate lights (especially in the Glass Quarter) even more magical. It’s a cozy, festive time for exploring enchanting markets, enjoying unique cultural events like those at Lukiškės Prison, and embracing the holiday spirit.
